In the interest of transparency, this page discloses how content on The Wider Context is sourced and funded, and our current policy on advertising, affiliate links, and sponsored content.
Some images featured on The Wider Context are licensed through a Canva Pro subscription. Other images may be sourced from Wikimedia Commons and Pexels under applicable license terms. Images from social media may be used under fair use for commentary, editorial, or informational purposes.
The Wider Context does not currently display third-party advertising. If we introduce advertising in the future — including through a network such as Google AdSense — it will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content, and this page will be updated to reflect that change.
We do not currently participate in any affiliate marketing programme, and no links on this website earn us a commission. If that changes in the future, any affiliate relationship will be clearly disclosed within the article where the link appears, in addition to this page.
We do not accept payment, free products, or other compensation in exchange for favourable coverage. If we ever publish sponsored or paid content, it will be clearly labelled as such at the top of the article.
Our newsletter is sent using Resend. Subscribing is free, and we do not sell or share subscriber email addresses with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details on how subscriber data is handled.
If you have a question about how a specific piece of content was sourced or funded, contact us at info@thewidercontext.com or via our contact page.
